Although most popular diet programs and regimen are heavy on the pocket, this does not mean that eating healthy requires you to break the bank.
There are many healthy foods that give you the nutrients without driving you nuts trying to stay on your budget. Here are your budget-friendly healthy alternatives:
1. Fresh and frozen fruits
The best tasting source of nutrition is fresh fruits in season. Otherwise, get your favorite fruits at their best anytime from the frozen fruit section of your supermarket.
2, Fish some protein
Instead of meat, get your protein serving from omega-3 rich sources such as tuna, salmon and sardines. Good for the heart, good for the pocket as well.
5. Bean this, bean that
Beans are rich in protein and rich in soluble fiber that help remove cholesterol and promote insulin reception. Beans are also known to prevent cancer.

Oats lower cholesterol with its high fiber and complex carbohydrates — best for any weight loss regimen and it's heart healthy too!
